The National Slate Association is non-profit, interdisciplinary, membership organization. They are dedicated to promoting excellence in slate roofing practices through the development and dissemination of technical information, standards, and educational resources on the materials and methods used in the manufacture, design, and construction of slate roofs and associated flashing systems. Membership Categories
Full Member – $380/year
For North American based contractors, quarriers, or distributors. Confers the privileges of voting and holding elective office. Full Members have expertise in creation or use of materials used for slate roofing or construction of slate roofs.
Affiliate Member – $295/year
Architect, engineer, designer, conservator, roofing consultant. Confers the privileges of voting and holding elective office. Affiliate Members have interest in some aspect of architectural design of slate roofs.
Associate Member – $150/year
Academic, facility manager, student, preservationist, craftsperson, building owner or non-North American based contractor, quarrier, or distributor. Can not vote or hold office.
